Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECE Level 1)

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team. As an ECE Level 1, you will work closely with our early childhood educators to plan and implement engaging activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. Your role will involve assisting in the daily routines of infants and toddlers, preparing snacks and meals, and maintaining accurate records of children's progress.

Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their basic needs are met;
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that meet the diverse needs of children;
  • Engage children in activities that promote learning and development, such as storytelling, singing, and craft preparation;
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods;
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and share observations with early childhood educators or supervisors;
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss children's progress and participate in ongoing professional development;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
  • Experience in child care or a related field, preferably with infants and toddlers;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Physical stamina to lift and move equipment and supplies;
