Toronto, Ontario, Canada Triovest Full time

Triovest is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Transaction Coordinator to join our Property Accounting team in Calgary and Toronto. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to property level accounts payable, preparing bank reconciliations, and supporting the Property Accounting group to actively address, resolve, and report accurate financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Input property-related invoice details into our accounting system and ensure accurate coding and timely approvals for invoice processing.
  • Review and action items on AP aging, generate reports related to payable as needed, and monitor timely payment of Property Taxes and Utilities.
  • Maintain an organized AP filing system for efficient record-keeping and address issues with external vendors and internal departments to minimize late fees on payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and assist with preparation of sales tax filing.
  • Collaborate and support cross-functional teams in Property Operations, Capital Projects, Leasing, and Corporate Accounting.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits and assist with ad hoc requests, projects, and initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Attributes:

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least one year of accounts payable experience.
  • Previous experience in Commercial Real Estate and/or Property Management is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Yardi is considered a valuable asset.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Thorough understanding of the invoice approval process and its application to Accounts Payable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Extraordinary team player and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly motivated and results-driven with the capacity to get things done.

  • Effective time management and organization skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
