Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Pilot Flying J. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervision and Coordination: Oversee the daily operations of food preparation and service, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train new staff members on job duties, sanitation procedures, and company policies, as well as provide ongoing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
  • Inventory Management: Estimate ingredient and supply needs for meal preparation, maintain accurate records of stock levels, and ensure that all supplies are ordered in a timely manner.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customer complaints promptly, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key metrics, as well as process credit card transactions and other payments.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Secondary Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: At least one year of experience in a food service or related role, with a strong focus on supervision and coordination.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
