Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer II to join our team at Northern Health Authority. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered diagnostic medical sonographer to highlight their knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment.

About the Role

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties working in collaboration with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other healthcare professionals. This position is part of our Mobile Sonography Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures/examinations and related duties;
  • Collaborates with radiologists/cardiologists, physicians and other healthcare professionals;
  • Works effectively in a team environment;
  • Communicates effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams;
  • Provides exceptional patient care and ensures high-quality imaging results;
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a recognized/accredited North American Program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ultrasonography);
  • Current certification with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP);
  • Active membership in good standing with ARDMS and/or Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS);
