Pebbles Daycare and Out of School Care is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Supervisor to join our team. As an Early Childhood Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of children in our care.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual who can develop and implement child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers, and assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that support the overall situation of the children and communicate information to parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children;
  • Supervise staff, trainees, or volunteers;
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the overall situation of the children;
  • Communicate information to parents regarding their child's progress and needs;
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports;
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children;
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.

Requirements:

  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years;
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years;
  • Excellent oral communication skills;
  • Judgement;
  • Reliability;
  • Team player;
  • Punctuality;
  • Child Development Supervisor (ECE level 3) certification;
  • Physically demanding work environment;
  • Ability to plan and organize activities for school-age children;
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
