Multy, a global leader in Outdoor Living and garden products, seeks an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support its North American locations.

As a key member of the People & Culture team, this role will focus on aligning employees with the organization's strategic goals through effective program administration and policy implementation.

The successful candidate will provide internal support and partnership to business lines, delivering required human resources elements and participating in the implementation of effective programs across key areas of People & Culture, including engagement, learning & development, culture, talent management, policies, and employee relations.

  • This role will facilitate and communicate organizational policies and programs, ensuring labor law and regulatory compliance.
  • The ideal candidate will provide support to organizational development initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and performance, such as succession planning, workforce development, employee retention, change management, and internal communications.
  • This position will serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees, providing guidance and support on employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and escalation procedures.
  • The successful candidate will leverage research and diagnostic tools, such as annual employee engagement surveys and exit interviews, to maximize employee engagement and build organizational commitment to the desired culture.
  • This role will cultivate strong working relationships with management and employees to enhance morale and boost productivity and retention.
  • The Human Resources Generalist will promote effective employee relations strategies and retention initiatives that instill a culture of excellence.
  • Staying informed on legal standards related to daily employee management, the successful candidate will mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance while coordinating with the legal department as necessary.
  • This role will partner with leaders to ensure Learning and Development opportunities are linked to organizational needs and aligned to performance reviews and business planning processes.
  • The ideal candidate will advise and coach managers on employee concerns and issues regarding policies, terminations, discipline, compensation, performance, succession, training, and development.
  • This position will conduct investigations and make discipline recommendations as needed in employee relations issues, employee or external complaints, and EHS-related issues.
  • The successful candidate will participate in recruiting activities to support the attraction of qualified candidates.
  • This role will support line management with recruitment activities, including standardized job descriptions, approvals, interviewing, and other means to ensure qualified employees are hired, transferred, and/or promoted.
  • The Human Resources Generalist will review and update People & Culture policies and practices as appropriate and partner with management to communicate said policies, procedures, programs, and laws.
  • This role will translate HR documents and communications into French.
  • The successful candidate will assist in company compliance audits.
  • This role will perform any other reasonable assignments given by the People & Culture Manager or his designates.

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000-$100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Bilingual skills (fluent in English and French) are essential for this role, which requires regular travel to our Cowansville, Quebec manufacturing location (approximately 4-6 times per year).
