The Aircraft Structures Technical Lead - Authorized Person reports directly to the Director of Engineering.

About the Role

This critical role requires an advanced understanding of aircraft certification requirements, extensive experience in safety analysis, and exceptional communication skills. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing structural modifications to Part 23/25/27/29 aircraft and their components
  • Reviewing and approving design and engineering documents
  • Conducting conformity inspections
  • Mentoring junior design/engineering staff

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering and have a minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft certification, with responsibilities covering the design and certification of structural repairs and modifications.

A strong knowledge of aircraft certification procedures, structural systems, and FAR regulations is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD software (AutoCAD/SolidWorks preferred), and FEMAP or ANSYS is also required.
