Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Culinary Manager to lead our culinary team at Ontario Golden Chefs Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position with 39.5 to 44 hours per week. You will work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods. As a key member of our team, you will demonstrate leadership skills, efficient interpersonal abilities, and excellent oral communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate menu options and plan menus to ensure quality and consistency
  • Estimate food costs, labor costs, and inventory levels
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff
  • Create new recipes and maintain existing ones
  • Instruct cooks on food preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation
  • Prepare complete meals and specialty foods for events
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Consult with clients on wedding, banquet, and specialty function details
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience as a chef or culinary manager
  • Degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field (not required)
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and time management skills
  • Flexible and able to work under pressure
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 CAD, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including dental, disability, vision care, life insurance, pension plan, and registered retirement savings plan (RRSP).
