Astek, a global player in engineering and technology consulting, is seeking a Cybersecurity Lead to join its team.

The successful candidate will have at least 6 years of experience with Control testing and excellent knowledge of JIRA, ServiceNow, and Agile methodology.

As a seasoned Information Security Analyst, the individual will lead the evaluation of new and proposed security systems and technologies, research, design, and implement application security solutions and practices, and direct testing of security plans.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership for the provision of technical expertise in development and support of activities, processes, procedures, and tools for protecting information security with a focus on application security.
  • Researching, designing, and implementing application security solutions and practices.
  • DIRECTING the testing of security plans.
  • Leading the evaluation of new and proposed security systems and technologies.

To be successful in this role, the candidate should have:

  • At least 6 years of experience in an Information Security Analyst position.
  • Experience in managing and executing fieldwork, issue writing, and reporting.
  • Experience working in regulated environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience documenting testing reports and executive reports.
  • Audit experience of Network Security devices like Firewalls, Routers - considered an asset.
  • Audit experience of Mainframes and Cloud technologies - considered an asset.
  • Experience with IT audits, control testing, including developing detailed test procedures to provide assurance on control objectives (an asset).
  • Industry certifications: CISSP (or equivalent) and CISA preferred (*CISSP for broad domain knowledge 5+ YoE, CISA for audits) (an asset).
