About the Opportunity

As a key member of the Regional Tissue Bank team, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the bank. Under the supervision of experienced professionals and reporting to the Health Services Manager, your primary responsibilities will include assisting with tissue processing, storage, distribution, information management, quality assurance, and quality control.

About You

To be successful in this position, you should possess a strong educational background in Health Sciences or a related field, supplemented by relevant work experience in a laboratory or surgical environment. A minimum of one year of related experience is required, although consideration may be given to candidates who are willing to complete an in-house training program as a Tissue Bank Assistant in Training. Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Ground and Air is also highly desirable.

Job Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus a two-year post-secondary program in Health Sciences or diploma in a related field
  • Minimum one-year related experience
  • Completion of the in-house Tissue Bank Assistant training program considered an asset
  • Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods by Ground and Air
Salary and Benefits

The annual salary for this position is $48,920 - $53,648 based on a bi-weekly schedule of 75 hours.
