Overview

This position is based in the Government of Canada - Central and reports directly to the organization's leadership team.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this role is $1,038,500 CAD.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the allocation of resources to implement organizational policies and programs, ensuring efficient use of material, human, and financial assets.
  • Authorise and coordinate the establishment of major departments and senior staff positions, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Establish strategic objectives for the organization, formulate or approve policies, and develop programs that drive growth and success.
  • Represent the organization in official functions, negotiations, and partnerships, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • Select and appoint middle managers, directors, and other executive staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their optimal performance.
  • Manage events and conferences that promote the organization's mission and values.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and coaching to help employees achieve their full potential.
  • Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers, ensuring the best possible value for the organization.
  • Assess business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them, driving revenue growth and expansion.

Budgetary Responsibility:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a budget of approximately $1,038,500 CAD annually.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in directing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and partners.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as business administration, public administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing budgets and implementing organizational policies and programs.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, as well as other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
