Mechanical Drafting Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafting Specialist to join our team at MyGreat Recruitment. As a key member of our drafting team, you will play a vital role in supporting drafting and document control for industrial and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and update spool drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage and distribute job information, maintaining document control standards.
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve technical issues and provide updates on drafting status.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams on nonconformance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to regulations.
- Analyze data, streamline workflows, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders to ensure project alignment and quality.
Requirements
- 2 years of drafting experience in industrial or construction projects.
- Proficiency in drafting software (e.g. SpoolFab Acorn).
- Understanding of isometrics technical drawing standards and relevant codes.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail under tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards like ASME B31.3 and Section VIII.
- Experience working in a fabrication shop or industrial environment.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives.
