Responsibilities: As a Veterinary Care Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Handling, restraining, and caring for animals undergoing treatment and surgery
  • Preparing and administering medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
  • Administering treatments as prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Providing nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Providing wound and bandage care
  • Clipping animal nails
  • Cleaning animal ears
  • Bathing and shampooing animals

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination
