Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Emergency Responder to join our team as a Casual/On-Call specialist. The ideal candidate will have experience in hazardous materials response and be able to travel regularly.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide first line support to clients;
  • Perform equipment checks and inspect emergency response equipment as required;
  • Ensure safe and efficient response to incidents and scheduled work;
  • Report to Team Leader and comply with Health and Safety protocols;
  • Attend scheduled training sessions and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 graduate or higher;
  • Formal education in environmental hazard management, emergency management, or environmental science (an asset);
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record;
  • NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials Awareness Level certification (an asset);
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions and lift up to 50 lbs;
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Work Environment

This is a dynamic role that requires the ability to work in a variety of settings, including office and outdoor environments. You will be expected to travel regularly and work in inclement weather conditions.

Salary
