About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at INNISFAIL PIZZA & PASTA 2 FOR 1. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized environment, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a clean environment.
  • Dishroom Operations: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits, and sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
  • Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Garbage and Recycling: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that all recyclables are properly sorted and stored.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Support Services: Offer support to colleagues as needed, and participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
