We are seeking a Housekeeping Professional to join our team at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a key member of our Environmental Services department, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
About the PositionThis is a temporary full-time opportunity with an estimated salary of $38,400 - $43,440 per annum, based on a 0.80 FTE (80% of full-time hours) and an annual base hours of 2015. The position is located at Bethesda Regional Health Centre in Steinbach, MB.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Manager - Environmental Services and be responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly manner. This includes performing routine housekeeping tasks in all areas of the facility, with a focus on general cleaning.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- Prior experience in industrial and/or commercial housekeeping;
- Minimum Grade 10 education (Manitoba standard);
- Demonstrated ability to handle chemicals and cleaning supplies as per Manufacturer's directions and facility procedures;
- Demonstrated basic computer skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with others;
- Demonstrated flexibility in adjusting to a changing environment;
- Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a cultural diverse population is required;
- A valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
