Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

At Toronto Parking Authority, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Financial Planning and Analysis department, you will play a critical role in enabling business success through data-driven insights and exceptional analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements, to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning.
  • Collaborate with City of Toronto stakeholders to provide timely financial information and supporting schedules.
  • Design and implement business intelligence tools and dashboards to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
  • Analyze monthly variances to budget and prior year, identifying root causes and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Support monthly and quarterly management reporting, synthesizing key trends and communicating business insights to senior leadership.
  • Apply strong business acumen to identify risks and opportunities, supporting short and long-term business objectives.
  • Partner with senior leadership to prepare profitability analysis on key initiatives and develop key performance indicators by business segment.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in BBA or BCom or equivalent work experience.
  • CPA/Accounting designation required.
  • Minimum five years of experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Independent thinker with ability to challenge the status quo and make recommendations with confidence.
  • Self-driven with attention to detail and ability to generate high-quality work products.
