Job Summary:

As a Cardiac Rehabilitation Exercise Specialist at Fraser Health Authority, you will play a vital role in coordinating exercise schedules, planning and supervising exercise sessions for cardiac rehabilitation patients. Your primary objective is to develop individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs, considering their medical history and diagnostic test results.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and evaluate patient functional status and risk factors to create personalized exercise prescriptions.
  • Coordinate exercise schedules, plan and conduct exercise sessions using case management techniques, and ensure proper use of exercise equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient assessments and treatments, including progress reports and statistics.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care and participate in quality assurance activities.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, Sports Medicine, or Physiology.
  • Two years' recent related clinical experience in a cardiac rehabilitation environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification as a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CCEP) and current CPR Level C certification.
