This role is part of the Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Field Service Group located in Mississauga, ON, Canada. As a Technical Leadership Role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the Applications team members for Canada.
About the JobThe Field Applications Manager is responsible for leading a team of Field Applications Specialists. This includes their training and professional development, establishing goals and objectives, and leading the recruitment process to bring the right candidates to the team.
You will also drive P&L and operational performance around safety, compliance, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, customer on-time-delivery, resource capacity, employee satisfaction, and expense lines.
This position requires frequent travel across Canada to assist the team and participate in Canadian Leadership Meetings.
Responsibilities- Lead a team of Field Applications Specialists; be responsible for their training and professional development; establishing goals and objectives; and leading the recruitment process to bring the right candidates to the team.
- Drive P&L and operational performance around safety, compliance, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, customer on-time-delivery, resource capacity, employee satisfaction, and expense lines.
- Deliver impact at the Canadian Organization level, by supporting leading projects, applying DBS (Danaher Business System) to map improvement plans, drive sustainable and continuous improvements.
- Advance strategic NACO & Canadian Organizational projects expanding operational, analytical, and technical capabilities of your area and the entire applications organization.
- Manage and solve high-pressure, complex customer problems within your area; as well as, contributing to solutions for systemic customer issues and initiatives at a Canadian and NACO level.
- Regularly visit clients and customers to maintain customer network and develop new relationships for new opportunities in partnering with sales and service teams.
- Represent the Canadian Applications organization at an executive level regularly and as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree with 14+ years' experience OR master's degree with 12+ years' experience.
- 4+ years' experience in people management (direct reports) and previous experience in the medical device or regulated industry.
- Proven experience in customer support role interfacing with senior customer management personnel.
- Knowledge of customer relationships and customer satisfaction methodologies.
- Ability to travel up to 50% across Canada.
The estimated salary for this role is between $150,000 to $200,000 per year, depending on experience. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
