Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate financial reporting processes to support the financial reporting infrastructure
  • Perform procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information
  • Evaluate the impact of alternative and/or new accounting standards/policies
  • Prepare and/or review financial statements and accompanying notes
  • Review, propose, or account for the entity's transactions, including complex transactions
  • Evaluate internal controls (IT and others)
  • Design a work-plan and assurance procedures
  • Prepare, evaluate, or manage information within an entity for decision making
  • Prepare or review budget information
  • Identify, develop, or evaluate business processes to support management information needs, decisions, and control frameworks

Requirements

  • University Degree in Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration completed within the last two years
  • Must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher
  • Successful completion of CPA PEP Program Core and Elective modules or university equivalent, candidates ready to begin Capstone modules only
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
  • Working towards or committed to working towards a CPA designation
  • Bilingual language skills preferred, ideally French
