About the role:
The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in our Restaurants and is responsible for designing memorable experiences. This role requires providing exceptional quality and service to our guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Welcome guests and provide exceptional service during their dining experience in collaboration with a team of servers.
- Manage the host stand, review the reservation book, and make recommendations for the table sections' setup.
- Ensure the cleanliness of each section of the restaurants, make necessary improvements, and check each table before opening to ensure it is properly set up.
- Develop a complete working knowledge of the menus, menu ingredients, and restaurant information.
Requirements:
- One to two years of previous experience in a Food & Beverage outlet; previous employment experience within a luxury hotel is considered an asset.
- Ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
- Strong communication skills.
- Administrative skills are beneficial.
- Working knowledge of OpenTable is beneficial.
- Strong command of the English language.
- Excellent commitment to service and teamwork.
- Must have a current Serving it Right certificate.
- Ability to work in Canada.
