Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement new administrative procedures to optimize office efficiency.
  • Review and evaluate administrative procedures to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Carry out administrative activities of the establishment, including data entry and budgetary controls.
  • Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation.
  • Co-ordinate and plan for office services, such as accommodation, relocation, equipment, supplies, forms, disposal of assets, parking, maintenance, and security services.
  • Assist in the preparation of the operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls.
  • Train staff members to improve their administrative skills.
  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures.
  • Resolve conflict situations in a professional and timely manner.
  • Commission systems and components to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures.
  • Supervise 1-2 people and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Require proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Public transportation is available, and the work environment is dynamic with tight deadlines, attention to detail, and a large workload.
  • Permanent position with 32-40 hours per week.
  • Work language: English.
