Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Consultant

Join the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) team as a Senior Quality Assurance Consultant and play a key role in ensuring the quality of our digital transformation and modernization strategy.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Consultant to lead our QA deliverables on large, complex programs/projects. As a Senior Quality Assurance Consultant, you will be responsible for providing leadership for QA deliverables, managing project stakeholders communication, and collaborating with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and strategize the functional and automated testing function within the Commercial QA team
  • Manage the work deliverables of offshore teams
  • Manage project stakeholders communication
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with the development team to resolve issues
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards, best practices, and industry regulations throughout the testing process
  • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and techniques to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience as a senior consultant in Quality Engineering for Banking and Financial Services domain
  • Expert in Quality Engineering for products developed in both Agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Experience participating in test strategy development, test estimation, and planning discussions
  • Ability to define and execute the automation, testing, and QA processes from smoke testing through final acceptance testing
  • Experience with testing approaches, tools, and techniques for working with individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
