  • Becoming a veterinary specialist at Arbutus Management Partners Incorporated o/a Richmond Animal Hospital means you will be responsible for diagnosing diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals, herds and flocks through physical examinations or laboratory tests.
  • You will also be required to hire and train staff, as well as treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, setting bones, dressing wounds or performing surgery.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for enforcing government regulations in disease control and food production including animal or animal-based food inspection, and providing a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, dentistry and euthanasia.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall operation of animal hospital, clinic or mobile service to farms.Certificates, Licences, Memberships and Courses
  • Licence by provincial or territorial authorities will be required for this position.Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to work under pressure.
  • The ideal candidate will be accurate, dependable, efficient and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • They will also be required to have excellent oral and written communication skills, flexibility, initiative, judgement, reliability and be a team player.Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role is required.Health Benefits
