About this role

We are recruiting for a Senior Systems Designer to join our Subject Matter Expert team in the Security and Healthcare Technology division.

This team is based in Burnaby. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

Ideally, we are looking for a Senior Systems Designer with experience working in Security and Healthcare Technologies on large design builds.

Your responsibilities

  • Work remotely and on customer sites for the installation, design, assembly, servicing, troubleshooting and maintenance of various electronic systems.
  • Act as a subject matter expert resource for PMs and mentor junior team members.
  • Inspect potential project sites and provide accurate estimation of required equipment and time.
  • Maintain and complete accurate as-builts and all system documentation for projects.
  • Train end users on operations of provided systems.
  • Develop and implement solutions to resolve interfacing or intercommunication problems between disparate systems.
  • Commission and configure hardware and software for deployment/installation.

Your experience and skills

  • Recognized training in more than one relevant security/healthcare system and products.
  • Familiar with more than one of the following platforms: Genetec, Kantech, Lenel, Milestone, Ascom Telligence, GuardRFID, or Sonitor.
  • Minimum 5-7 years working in a similar role, with strong technical expertise in related systems.
  • Experience in large design build projects including Hospitals.
  • Experience with integration and middleware engines in the security/healthcare product space.
