About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team as a full-time instructor in the Primary and Advanced Care Paramedic programs. As an instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to our students, preparing them for successful careers in the field of paramedicine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver curriculum for the Primary and Advanced Care Paramedic programs
  • Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, lab, and/or clinical setting
  • Evaluate the learning process and provide feedback to students
  • Provide coaching and tutoring to students to maximize their success and retention
  • Respond to student issues and concerns
  • Utilize educational technology to enhance the learning experience
  • Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students and colleagues
  • Participate in business plan objectives and contribute to the development of the institute
  • Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities

Qualifications

  • Graduation from a recognized Advanced Care Paramedic program
  • Registered with The Alberta College of Paramedics with a minimum of 5 years Advanced Care Paramedic field experience
  • Basic computer literacy and excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Instructor certification in ACLS, ITLS (advanced), PALS, and NRP is an asset
  • Coordination certification in the above-noted is an asset
  • Experience in delivery of adult education is an asset
