Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Audit and Compliance Specialist to join our team at DW LLP. This role involves performing a range of tasks including audit, review, and notice-to-reader engagements.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a college diploma or university degree and be pursuing or have completed their CPA designation. They will possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, time management, and communication skills, as well as strong knowledge in and desire to learn about tax and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of year-end engagements, including audits, reviews, notice-to-reader, and corporate tax returns;
  • Completing detailed file reviews of junior staff and working directly with Partners;
  • Ensuring high-quality files are produced on time and within budgets;
Client Relationship Building

We expect our clients to receive exceptional service and high-quality work. As an Audit and Compliance Specialist, you will develop positive working relationships with clients and obtain a strong understanding of their business needs.

What We're Looking For
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting software, including Caseware, Tax Prep, MS Excel, and QuickBooks;
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting and ASPE;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision;
Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration;
  • Pursuing or completion of the Canadian CPA designation;
  • At least 2 years' experience in public accounting;

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum.
