Enhance Financial Reporting at CPP Investments

CPP Investments is a global investment organization seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Manager to coordinate the financial reporting function and risk-based review of financial reporting controls. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, preferably with IFRS, and experience in consolidation and financial statement reporting practices and controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and coordinate the consolidated CPP Investments financial statements, including financial statement note disclosures in accordance with IFRS.
  • Coordinate with external auditors in quarterly financial statement reviews and annual audit coordinating timelines and key deliverables.
  • Partner with various departments to ensure timely and accurate production of financial statements and general ledger.
  • Lead continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting process.
  • Act as a second line of defense and review financial reporting processes and controls.

Requirements

  • Professional accounting designation (CA/CPA) and experience in financial reporting, preferably in investment management, pension fund, or financial services industry.
  • Strong technical accounting skills, internal controls, and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to foster effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage competing demands from stakeholders in an information-intensive environment.
