Job Summary:
The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Gynecologic Oncology team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room care to Gynecologic Oncology patients, utilizing evidence-based clinical practice standards and established protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, make differential diagnoses, order appropriate testing, and coordinate patient care.
- Assess and manage unanticipated clinic visits, phone calls, and other patient-related inquiries.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide optimal care for patients, including physicians, nurses, clerical staff, technicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, patient representatives, and administrative staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, database management, and program development.
Requirements:
- Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent
- Undergraduate Degree
- Graduate of a Canadian or US Accredited Physician Assistant Education Program
- Eligible to challenge the National Physician Assistant Certification Exam or Canadian Physician Assistant Certification
- BCLS and ACLS
- Preference given to candidates with experience in Oncology, Surgery, and/or Gynecology
