**Job Title:** Executive Financial Reporting Manager

 

Newlands Group is seeking a highly skilled Executive Financial Reporting Manager to join their team. This role involves managing corporate accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, providing valuable insights to influence strategic decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in line with IFRS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze month-end reports, identify trends, and provide insights to guide management.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual filings, including MD&A drafts and preparation of working papers for audits.
  • Contribute to initiatives that streamline and enhance financial reporting accuracy and efficiency.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in financial reporting, audit, or accounting, ideally with mining sector or Big4 experience.
  • Designation: CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Education: Bachelors in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage 50, QuickBooks, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of IFRS and public company regulatory requirements.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $90,000 - $95,000, with potential for higher for an ideal fit
  • Additional: Stock options, discretionary bonus
