Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse with Alberta Health Services, you will work in a rural setting within an interdisciplinary team environment. You will collaborate with colleagues to deliver care to patients/clients, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients/clients and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Work in consultation with RN/RPN colleagues and others to meet the needs of complex patients/clients
  • Provide safe, quality patient and family centered care

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Critical thinking skills, including clinical judgment, problem solving skills, and strong decision-making ability
  • Previous experience as an LPN
