Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Edo Japan. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and supervise the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
- Prepare and submit reports to management.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
Work Environment:
- Restaurant setting with a fast-paced environment.
- Physically demanding with standing for extended periods.
Personal Suitability:
- Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral communication and flexibility.
- Team player with a permanent work term and 40 hours per week.
