Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Edo Japan. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish efficient methods to meet work schedules and supervise the activities of staff who prepare and portion food.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Work Environment:

  • Restaurant setting with a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically demanding with standing for extended periods.

Personal Suitability:

  • Client focus and efficient interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and flexibility.
  • Team player with a permanent work term and 40 hours per week.
