Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Machinist to join our team at Steelserv Corp. As an Apprentice Machinist, you will assist in the setup and operation of conventional and computer-controlled machine tools, ensuring high-quality products are produced efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and lay out work pieces for assembly
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and charts
- Set up and adjust production machinery and tools
- Fabricate and assemble components and machine parts to close tolerance
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments
- Operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately
- Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player
Work Environment:
- 40 hours per week
- English-speaking work environment
- Permanent work term
