Occupational Therapist Supervisor

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist Supervisor to join our team at Purdy Pavilion Long Term Care Facility located on the UBC campus in Vancouver.
About the RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to supervise a team of occupational therapists and provide clinical leadership in our long term care setting. As an Occupational Therapist Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the designated program, establishing priorities, and monitoring outcomes. You will also provide leadership, clarify practice expectations, and act as a clinical resource for team members and students.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the designated program by supervising at least one other occupational therapist and a total staff of up to three (3) FTEs.
- Establish program priorities, coordinates work assignments, monitor and evaluate designated program outcomes, provide leadership, and clarify practice expectations with staff.
- Act as a clinical resource for members of the team and students by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, provide direct assessment and intervention to residents and maintain resident's records.
- Coordinate on-going team planning, evaluation and quality improvement activities and participates in approved research, where applicable.
- Participate in and/or leads internal and external committees, meetings and/or corporate initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current full registration as an occupational therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).
- Three (3) years' recent related clinical occupational therapy experience including one (1) year experience in a supervisory/leadership role in the designated clinical area, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
