We are currently seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to join our Financial Services Division within the Corporate Services Department. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in preparing month-end and year-end working papers to support the preparation of financial reports and statements. You will ensure that accounting procedures are followed, transactions are recorded accurately, and accounting records are examined and adjusted accordingly. This position will serve as a liaison between the Financial Services Division and other departments, assisting with reconciling subsystems to the financial software.

Requirements:

  1. An undergraduate degree in accounting or a related field.
  2. A minimum of three years of experience in an accounting setting or a related field.

The City of Yellowknife offers a competitive starting annual salary of $89,359, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including a defined benefit pension plan and monthly housing and vacation travel allowances totaling $450.
