Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to join our team at Wyecroft Trim & Door Group Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of finish carpentry work on residential projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to heights, confined spaces, and noisy conditions.

Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy conditions
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work long hours
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
