Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Business Partner to drive operational excellence and strategic partnerships within our manufacturing employee group. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for labor relations, talent management, engagement, compensation, and benefits.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 10 years of experience as a Human Resources business partner, with expertise in labor relations in a unionized production environment. You will be responsible for interpreting and applying collective agreements, participating in negotiations, and implementing action plans to support strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for all labor relations for the manufacturing group, including grievance committees, labor relations committees, and advisory roles in disciplinary management.
  • Interpret and apply collective agreements to ensure compliance and effective implementation.
  • Participate in collective agreement negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address operational challenges and drive business outcomes.
  • Act as a human resources manager for employees, supervisors, and department heads, providing guidance on organizational structures, HR programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Coach managers in the management of their HR teams, focusing on skills development, retention, and mobilization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience as a Human Resources business partner, with expertise in labor relations in a unionized production environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in French and English.
  • Mastery of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and exercise professional judgment and diplomacy in sensitive situations.
