About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Wood Product Assembler to join our team at Pay less Quality Doors Ltd. As a key member of our millwork/pre-fab shopwork team, you will be responsible for assembling wood products such as window sashes, doors, boxes, pallets, ladders, and barrels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble door panels, trusses, or modular components to make prefabricated housing
  • Read blueprints, written specifications, and production drawings to ensure accurate assembly
  • Pack items for shipping and distribution, ensuring they are securely and efficiently packaged
  • Reinforce assembled products with dowelling or other supports to ensure stability and quality
  • Mark defective parts or products for repair, maintaining high standards of quality control
  • Trim, smooth, and shape surfaces to meet customer requirements
Work Environment

Our millwork/pre-fab shopwork environment is fast-paced and physically demanding. You will be working in a dusty environment, and physical stamina is required to perform the duties of this role.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Experience: Will train on the job
  • Physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • Personal suitability: Flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude
