About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Developer to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our marketing communications team, you will be responsible for developing and writing engaging content for various marketing materials, including print and radio advertising, websites, newsletters, and brochures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and write high-quality content that meets the needs of our target audience and aligns with our brand voice.
  • Conduct research to verify information and ensure accuracy in our content.
  • Liaise with our communications team and clients to assess writing and research needs.
  • Work with our design team to create concepts that address and contribute to achieving marketing objectives.
  • Edit and rewrite content in accordance with client changes, corporate style, and standards.
  • Contribute to the development of a research and sources database for marketing communications and a central reference source for our writing style.
Requirements
  • Diploma in English, Communications, Journalism, Professional Writing, or equivalent education.
  • Two years of directly relevant work experience.
  • Ability to generate original concepts and ideas, given strategic direction.
  • Portfolio of talent and ability to write for different audiences and meet different objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work quickly under frequent pressure against tight deadlines.
  • Ability to take direction from several individuals and adapt to a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
