Job Title: Tile Setter - Surface Preparation Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at SSK Construction Ltd. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for tile installation, mixing and applying adhesives, and aligning and straightening tiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, scraping, and applying adhesives
  • Mix and apply adhesives to ensure a strong bond between tiles and surfaces
  • Align and straighten tiles to ensure a level and even surface
  • Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  • Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout
  • Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles
  • Lay and set mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile setting
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy materials

Work Environment: Our team works in various locations, including construction sites and warehouses. As a Tile Setter, you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and safety.
