Primary Care Physician with Strong Communication Skills

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our team at Medicentres. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health, and prescribing and administering medications and treatments.
About the RoleThis is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $250,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. You will also have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and make decisions quickly while maintaining accuracy and judgment.
Responsibilities- Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
- Advise patients on health care
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases to government authorities
- Be the patient advocate
- Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care
- Provide acute care management
- Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and may need to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods. They must also possess excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as flexibility, judgement, and reliability.
