About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, HR Systems and Optimization to join our team at Extendicare. As a key member of our HR Operations department, you will play a crucial role in enabling the successful delivery of strategic priorities through established functional HCM architecture standards, principles, and roadmaps.

This is a leadership position that requires a strong background in human resources, technology systems, and change management. You will be responsible for optimizing HR processes and systems, working closely with peers to foster a collaborative culture focused on driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and customer service excellence.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement and Optimize HR Technology Systems: Lead the implementation, configuration, and optimization of HR technology systems, including HCM, talent management, payroll, recruiting, time tracking, and other relevant tools.
  • Process Automation and Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process automation within HR functions to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
  • Employee Experience Enhancement: Work closely with HR and operations to prioritize, assess, and communicate enhancements that improve the employee and HR user experience.
  • Change Management and Leadership: Develop and implement change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions and adoption.
  • Budget Management and Performance Review: Manage the budget, review functional performance, and ensure Service level targets are met.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience, and expertise in Workday HCM and system implementation and governance processes. They will also possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative style, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of an organization.
