Job Title: Executive Chef - Food Preparation and Management
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team at Anjappar Chettinad Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and prepare special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef.
- Kitchen Operations: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, order supplies and equipment, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and clean kitchen and work areas.
- Event Planning: Organize buffets and banquets.
Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Skills and Qualifications: Client focus, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, organized, reliability, team player.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
