NPM Construction Inc. is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Fills hollows and removes spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Operates power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface according to grade and depth specifications.
  • Works at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Imparts the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Instructs apprentices to ensure they have the necessary skills to complete tasks effectively.
  • Installs anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures to complete the concrete structure.
  • Applies hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces and prevent damage.
  • Waterproofs, damp proofs, and restores surfaces to ensure they are safe and durable.
  • Repairs, resurfaces, and replaces worn or damaged sections of concrete structures to maintain their integrity.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • The role is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods are required.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure the highest quality finish.
