Air Canada Business Intelligence Analytics Specialist

Compensation Package:
The estimated annual salary for this position is around $85,000-$110,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, benefits include comprehensive health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
About the Role:
This position focuses on fostering a data-driven culture within the In-Flight Service branch, aligning data priorities with business strategies, and enhancing data collection for analytics. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in mathematics and statistics. They should be able to correlate data to business objectives and identify improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support in creating reports, dashboards, and self-service solutions for various departments.
- Understand and translate stakeholder requirements into actionable tools, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Champion data visualization within the IFS branch, applying a critical eye to reports and dashboards.
- Conduct various analyses on IFS metrics to provide value-added analytical support across the branch.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI tools (Power BI).
- Experience with the MS Power Platform (Power BI Services, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Power BI certification is considered a strong asset.
- Strong skills in SQL and data modeling.
- Knowledge of programming languages (SQL, Python, R, M, DAX).
- Experience with cloud databases (e.g., Snowflake) and data transformation tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory).
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables.
