Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Avka Trucking INC. is seeking a reliable and skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified Long Haul Truck Driver to operate our vehicles safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Valid driver's license
  • Experience in long-haul trucking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
