We are seeking a trusted family caregiver to join our team at Private Home.
About the RoleThis is a temporary position, working 40 hours per week. You will be responsible for providing care and support to children in a private home setting.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have experience caring for infants and children, with a focus on creating a safe and healthy environment. Your duties will include:
- Changing diapers and maintaining personal hygiene
- Sterilizing bottles and preparing formulas
- Performing light housekeeping and cleaning duties
- Shopping for food and household supplies
- Washing, ironing, and pressing clothing and household linens
- Bathing, dressing, and feeding infants and children
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the home
- Organizing activities such as games and outings for children
- Preparing and serving nutritious meals
- Preparing children for rest periods
- Supervising and caring for children
- Taking children to and from school and to appointments
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in childcare
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability
You will be working in a non-smoking environment, in an urban area. Public transportation is available.
Physical CapabilitiesYou will be required to lift up to 20 lbs (9 kg).
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
