Mary Brown's Restaurant is seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a results-driven professional with excellent leadership and communication skills to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced food service establishment. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of staff, ensuring seamless customer experiences, and maintaining high standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities- Establish methods to meet work schedules and deadlines.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring efficient meal preparation and timely delivery.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, ensuring accurate ordering and minimizing waste.
- Hire, train, and manage food service staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Prepare budget and cost estimates, analyzing financial data to inform operational decisions.
- Address customer complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business improvement.
- Prepare and submit reports, tracking key performance indicators and progress toward goals.
- 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in food service management.
- Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on quality control and customer satisfaction.
- Certifications in food safety, sanitation, and handling (e.g., Food Safety Certificate, Safe Food Handling certificate).
- Availability for shift or on-call work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliability, punctuality, and commitment to excellence.
- A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
