Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Lead to oversee and manage the entire scope of our projects in BC, making a significant impact on overall project performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver projects against all budget, schedule & quality targets.
  • Establish a safe work environment by implementing safety programs on all project sites.
  • Ensure timely completion of project close-out activities.
  • Develop, monitor, and report weekly and monthly activities to ensure plan execution.
  • Implement construction phasing plans and logistics.
  • Evaluate and improve key metrics and KPIs to achieve consistent results.
Commercial Management
  • Provide financial reporting and forecasting.
  • IDentify risks and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts and agreements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen to protect profits and improve margins.
Stakeholder Management
  • Maintain excellent relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Foster regular interactions with clients, engineering firms, subcontractors, authorities, and special interest groups.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or equivalent discipline an asset.
  • Expertise and experience in the wet utility construction industry required.
  • Sound knowledge of utility construction methods and techniques.
  • Experience with contract and subcontract management.
  • Proven track record in claims management and dispute resolution.
  • Risk identification and management expertise.
  • Project scheduling skills (previous use of P6 an asset).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Working computer proficiency with MS Office.
  • SAP experience considered an asset.
  • Valid British Columbia driver's license and ability to travel within BC.
Compensation

The expected pay range for this position is $85,000 - $125,000.
