Job Title: Data Analyst

At The Canadian Press, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Content Operations team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing analytical tools and processes to gain valuable insights into our news content.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain data analysis tools and processes to extract insights from our news content.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient delivery of content to our business partners.
  3. Monitor and troubleshoot categorization and metadata issues to ensure high-quality content delivery.
  4. Build and maintain dashboards to track content production and distribution metrics.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in data analysis and data-feed transformation.
  2. Proficiency in querying databases and manipulating data.
  3. Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and frameworks, including Python and Jupyter.
  4. Excellent communication skills to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  5. Familiarity with digital supply chains and data pipelines.
  6. Knowledge of JSON and XML.
  7. Bachelor's degree in a related field.
